How you can Join Indian Army After 10th?

Well, all the candidate those who are interested to join the indian Army, they can also join the Indian Army by just passing the 10th std. He or she should must have secure an aggregate marks of the least 40% to 45%. But however they can only apply for only two posts which are as followed below:

  • SOLDIER TRADESMAN
  • GENERAL DUTYS

The selection will be based on the physical fitness test. A written exam and a medical test which will be conducted by the Indian Army.

How you can Join Indian Army After 12th?

Well, all the candidate those who are interested to join the indian Army, they can also join the Indian Army by just passing the 12th std. He or she should must have secure an aggregate marks of the least 40% to 45%. But however they can only apply for only two posts which are as followed below: There are mainly two ways through which candidates can join the Indian Army after 12th. They are as follows :

  1. National Defense Academy (NDA)
  2. Technical Entry Scheme ( TES)

UPSC Entry/ Short Service Commission ( Non-Technical)

Here, women who do not have a background in engineering come under the short service commission ( Non-Technical) category. They are selected through a written examination. The cadets who have successfully cleared the written exam will appear for an interview round with the Services Selection Board.

The eligibility criteria are as follows :

  • Unmarried Female candidates between the ages of 19 to 25 may apply.
  • They must also graduate from a recognised university and board.
  • They must pass the Combined Defence Service Examination which is conducted twice in a year by UPSC
  • On the basis of merit, 12 women will be selected every 6 months and they are inducted into training. After clearing the CDS, selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of rigorous training at the OTA ( Officers Training Academy) in Chennai.

Non-UPSC Entry 

As under the NON-UPSC Entry, women can enter into the Indian Army either through the NCC Special Entry or Judge Advocate General

NCC Special Entry

This is a method of direct entry for women wherein they don’t need to give any entrance exam. The eligibility criteria are as follows :

  • Unmarried female candidates between the ages of 19 to 25 may apply
  • They must have a minimum of 50% in graduation with a valid NCC ‘C’ certificate with minimum ‘B’ grade.
  • They will undergo a rigorous training of  49 weeks.

Direct Entry

NDA exams is one of the most popular ways to join Indian army with the minimum qualification of completing class 12th. Annually, the exam is conducted twice i.e., NDA 1 and NDA 2. Only the unmarried males falling between the age bracket of 16 ½ to 19 ½ can appear for the exam. The written exam will be conducted in two separate parts. Conducted by the UPSC, CDS exam is the gateway for undergraduate students aspiring to join Indian army. Just as the NDA exam, CDS is conducted twice a year and only male unmarried candidates are eligible for it. The educational criteria to join the Indian Army through CDS is to have a graduate degree. Along with this, candidates must fall into the set age limit that is, not born earlier than January 2, 1997, and not after January 1, 2004.
